see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 23 October 2012.
Standard Chartered PLC clocked volume of 1.20 crore shares by 13:08 IST on BSE, a 391.07-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 31,000 shares. The stock fell 0.05% to Rs 102.90.
Vardhman Textiles notched up volume of 3.82 lakh shares, a 99.95-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock rose 0.83% to Rs 231.
Gujarat Pipavav Port notched up volume of 10.16 lakh shares, a 52.43-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 19,000 shares. The stock fell 1.09% to Rs 49.85.
Diamond Power Infrastructure saw volume of 5.93 lakh shares, a 36.57-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 16,000 shares. The stock surged 5.18% to Rs 113.65.
SKS Microfinance clocked volume of 6.23 lakh shares, a 21.93-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 28,000 shares. The stock was locked at 5% upper circuit at Rs 122.10.
