FOREX REPORT 9-11-2012

• USDINR pair traded highly volatile in the last session to close in green at 54.60, higher by around half a percent
• Dollar surged sharply against basket of currencies after the Europe published its economic growth forecast, triggering a strong risk
aversion rally across the world

• The European Commission cut its growth forecast for the Eurozone as the debt crisis ravages southern Europe and gnaws at the
economic performance of export-driven Germany
• The 17-nation euro economy will expand 0.1% in 2013, down from a May forecast of 1%, the Brussels-based commission said. It cut
the forecast for Germany, Europe's largest economy, to 0.8% from 1.7%
• Greece Parliament finally passed the bill on more austerity measures
• Greek lawmakers narrowly approved new financial austerity measures and the legislation came as tens of thousands gathered to protest
outside parliament
• The measures, passed early Thursday morning, are part of an 18.5 billion euro ($23.6 billion) effort to provide aid and avoid financial
collapse
• According to Athanassios Nakos, second deputy speaker of the parliament, the bill narrowly passed with just 153 of 299 lawmakers
voting in favor. The legislation includes spending cuts, tax hikes and measures that make it easier to hire and fire workers
• The Dow Jones, S&P 500 and the Nasdaq composite closed at its lowest level since early August the day after the presidential election
on the back of status quo resulting from elections and fiscal cliff fears
• The Bank of England decided to leave its monetary policy unchanged, not extending asset purchases further
• The pound strengthened across the board and rose to its highest in over a month versus the euro after the Bank of England decided to
leave its monetary policy unchanged, interest rate and QE, as there were some speculations the bank could announce more easing
